Frequently asked questions¶
What is DCProof?¶
DCProof is an automated quality-control and content-control service for short-form media — cinema, TV, OOH, radio and social media ads, and trailers. You upload a file; DCProof analyses the video and audio and returns a timecoded report.
What content does DCProof handle?¶
Short-form content, from a 5-second bumper up to 5 minutes: advertising spots for cinema, TV, out-of-home and radio, short-form social media content (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok), and film trailers. Video and audio-only content are both supported.
What's the difference between the QC Report and the Age Report?¶
They're two applications built on the same analysis engine. The QC Report generates, per input video, a human-readable PDF and a JSON data blob covering technical quality (codecs, loudness, black frames, duration, language of voice-over and subtitles) plus a full content review — submitted via API or a submit-URL, processed afterwards by a person or your own system. The Age Report is a review web app: it presents the timecoded moments of interest in a spot, lets a reviewer jump between them, assess them against the target market's rating standard, and record the decision or escalate.
Is the Age Report an official rating?¶
No. Official classification remains with the national bodies. The Age Report is a pre-check: it tells you what rating to expect per market before you submit or book, and shows you exactly which scenes drive it.
How fast is a report?¶
Minutes per file, not days. Reports are generated automatically after upload.
In what formats do I get the results?¶
The QC Report is delivered per input video as a PDF for human review and as JSON for integration with your own ingest, booking or traffic systems. The Age Report is a web app — the review, the moments of interest and the recorded decisions live in the application.
Which age-rating systems are supported?¶
Currently 16 national systems across Europe and North America — see the full overview. A review targets the system of the market where the content will run; for multi-market releases you run a review per market.
Does DCProof handle social media formats?¶
Yes. The same engine treats the social versions of a campaign — YouTube, Instagram, TikTok — including vertical and square variants. Same checks, same timecoded findings, whether the spot is headed for a cinema screen or a phone screen.
Can DCProof check the language of a spot?¶
Yes. The QC Report identifies the language of the spoken voice-over and of on-screen subtitles — essential in multilingual markets like Belgium and Switzerland.
